Argentina beat Netherlands after a stalemate in the first 90 minutes and another 30 minutes extra time.Penalty shootout brought the result after heroic saves from Romero which stopped the Dutch to progress to the finals.

Arjen Robben: Love Him or Hate Him, He Has Starred at This World Cup

Rewinding our memories to the quarter final finals in the second half of extra time, we see Arjen Robben running rings round the defenders when all the players were starting to wear out.But this proof is not needed in  proving Arjen Robben’s quality.The Dutchman has had an incredible World Cup so far scoring 3 and assisting 1.
 
He has come to negative sights and critics when it comes to ‘falling too easily’, which can’t be denied but apart of that criticism we have seen him with fabulous performances.As the people say ‘Force him to his right and the job is done’, it is not as easy as saying for the defenders and if you are a defender and given a task in hand to mark him, you are going to have a bad day at the office.You may succeed once or twice but surviving him for 90 minutes is a big mission.
 
“At this tournament more than any other tournament, Robben is to the Netherlands what Lionel Messi is to Argentina, ” Wesley Sneijder was quoted as saying.”He constantly occupies two or three opponents, creating space for others.Against Costa Rica he did that a number of times that helped us.”

Argentina would just be hoping that he has an off day today, but that would be rare, very very rare for a man with Robben’s quality.

What if you had put bet on 7-1 scoreline before the game?-IT HAPPENED ACTUALLY

Brazilian blog LANCE! reports that a woman actually placed a bet on 7-1 scoreline by which Germany to wins wins and surprisingly she was correct.She told the media that she woke up to have a conversation with her husband and he was sleepwalking as they were talking.

According to Anna she asked him saying “Today is the World Cup”, to which Silvio(her husband) replied “it’s game over”. Anna then asked ”who won?”, he said “Germany”. She then asked what the scoreline was, and he said 7-1.

65 year old Brazilian manager Luis Felipe Scolari believes it was the worst day of his life after the mauling they received from Germany.Brazil played college level football with the worst defending one could ever see in a football game which resulted the Brazilian faces cry out loud.There was silence, sorrow and disappointment in the whole stadium when the entire crowd was silent .

Goals from Muller, Klose, Khedira and a Kroos double put them with an embarrassing 5 to recover for the Selecao in the first half. Another double from Schurrle added two more for Germany and the last goal was a consolation for the hosts sourced from Oscar.None of the Brazilians looked at their best and the main reason is the absence of their leader Thiago Silva and their talisman Neymar. Silva was missed in the game for sure.
